Perhaps you spend the winter here, or you are simply coming to Agadir for three or four weeks, and you want a car for the whole stay: the shopping, Taghazout, a day trip to Taroudant. With a long-term car rental in Agadir, the questions are no longer those of a weekend. How much does a month cost? What do you do if a warning light comes on in the third week? Here is what our conditions provide for, and what that changes over several weeks.

The price of a month: ask for a firm price for your dates

The rates shown on our website are for guidance only. The final price depends on the vehicle category and the rental period : three weeks in January and three weeks in May will not necessarily come to the same amount. On our vehicle pages, the indicative daily rate for city cars and saloons goes down from 7 days' rental; for family cars and 4×4s, it is available on request. The only figure that counts is the firm price we give you for your exact dates.

First choose the category on our vehicles page : city cars, saloons, family cars or 4×4s. Then send your booking request with the car you want, the date and time of pick-up and return, and the pick-up and return locations. We confirm availability and the price, usually within a minute. For a month, write to us as soon as your dates are set : the same car has to be available for the whole period.

Unlimited mileage: a month of excursions without counting the kilometres

Over four weeks, nobody stays in Agadir the whole time. At Carsalis, every rental rate includes unlimited mileage, whether you rent for three days or a month: no counter to keep an eye on, no surcharge linked to the kilometres you drive.

From the centre of Agadir, by road and one way, route planners give about 80 km to Taroudant, 95 km to Tiznit, 175 km to Essaouira and 250 km to Marrakech. Those four outings there and back already add up to about 1,200 km. For routes, see our day trips from Agadir by car.

Two rules apply for the whole stay: unpaved tracks are off limits, except for vehicles expressly suited to them, and the fuel level on return must be the same as the one recorded at delivery. On this second point, read our article on fuel and car rental in Morocco.

The 24-hour block: match your return time to your pick-up time

The rental period is calculated in blocks of 24 hours. Once you are more than 2 hours into a new day, it is charged as an extra day, and returning the car more than 2 hours late without prior agreement means a full day is charged. The rule is the same as for three days, but after four weeks, people often forget what time they picked the car up.

An example. You collect the car at the airport on a Tuesday at 10 am and return it four weeks later, on a Tuesday. Returned at 11 am, the rental counts 28 blocks of 24 hours. Returned at 3 pm, it counts one more. We also advise returning the car 2 hours before your flight leaves: do the maths when you book so you choose the right pick-up time. If your plans change, let us know on WhatsApp before the scheduled time.

Fees and payment: what changes on a one-month rental

Cleaning is not included in the daily rate. A flat €10 cleaning fee is added to the total price, once per booking : the same amount for three days as for a month. Delivery and collection are free in Agadir (airport, hotel, city centre). No deposit is required: no security deposit, even over four weeks.

Our preferred payment method is a secure bank transfer, and European transfers are accepted : you pay from your own bank, without arriving with a large amount of cash. Payment on arrival is still possible under certain conditions, to be agreed with us when the booking is confirmed: in cash, or by card with 5% bank charges. On a month's total, that 5% weighs far more than on a weekend.

Good habits for a month behind the wheel

After ten days, attention tends to slip: glance at the dashboard from time to time. If a warning light comes on or something seems wrong, call us or message us on WhatsApp at +212 648 291 116 : assistance is available 24/7.

Take a photo of the fuel gauge on the day of delivery: four weeks later, that is the level you will need to bring it back with. Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly forbidden. If your stay gets longer, tell us as soon as you know: we check whether the car is still available for the extra days. Everything else is set out in our rental conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Is my European licence enough to drive in Morocco for a month?

Yes, provided it is valid. Article 2 of Law 52-05 on the Highway Code allows a driver of foreign nationality to drive in Morocco on a valid licence issued abroad, for a temporary stay of up to one year. A month is therefore well within the limit. At Carsalis, the main driver must also be at least 21 and have held a licence for 2 years.

Is the cleaning fee charged every week?

No. The €10 cleaning fee applies only once per booking, whatever the length of the rental.

How much does a one-month rental in Agadir cost?
