Version 3 – updated on 29/10/2026
1. Introduction
At CARSALIS, we attach great importance to protecting your privacy and the security of your data. This privacy and cookie policy explains how we use cookies and how we process your personal data when you browse our website. Cookies that are not necessary for the site to work depend on your choices, which you make in the “Your cookie choices” banner and can change at any time.
2. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to improve how websites work, to provide advanced features and to gather information about how the site is used.
3. Types of Cookies Used
Below are the cookies used on our site, as recorded on 29/10/2026 and grouped by the categories of the “Your cookie choices” banner. The durations shown are maximum durations: your browser may shorten them.
a. Necessary Cookies
Essential cookies are necessary for our site to work properly. They allow you to browse our site and to use its basic features. Without these cookies, some parts of the site would not work correctly.
- carsalis_consent (Carsalis): remembers your cookie choices; 6 months.
- woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_… (Carsalis, WooCommerce): online booking basket, only if you use it; they last for the browsing session, or 2 days for wp_woocommerce_session_… (7 days if you are logged in to a customer account).
b. Analytics
Depending on your cookie choices (see section 4), Google Analytics, a Google service, measures traffic to the site: pages viewed, length of visits and where they come from. These statistics help us improve the site.
- _ga (Google): distinguishes visitors; 2 years.
- _ga_HWH2MLT0QT (Google): keeps the session state; 2 years.
c. Google Maps
The interactive map of our agency, on the home page and the Contact page, is provided by Google. It is only displayed with your consent, given in the banner or with the “Show the map” button; without this consent, an “Open in Google Maps” link remains available. Once the map is displayed, Google receives your IP address and may set or read its own cookies, in accordance with its cookie policy.
d. Advertising
Depending on your cookie choices (see section 4), Google Ads, a Google service, lets us know which booking requests come from our ads, deliver our ads more effectively and show them to you after your visit (personalised advertising). In the same category, WooCommerce, the tool behind our online shop, records where your visit came from so that it can be linked to any online booking you make.
- _gcl_au (Google): links booking requests to Google ads; 90 days.
- _gcl_aw (Google): set if you reach the site by clicking on one of our ads; 90 days.
- _gcl_gs, _gcl_ag, _gcl_gb and _gcl_dc (Google, carsalis.com domain): set if you reach the site from one of our Google ads, only once you have accepted advertising; 90 days.
- GCL_AW_P and GCL_DC_P (Google, googleadservices.com, doubleclick.net and google.com domains): set if you reach the site from one of our Google ads, only once you have accepted advertising; 90 days.
- IDE and test_cookie (Google, doubleclick.net domain): Google advertising; 15 minutes for test_cookie, 13 months for IDE in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, 24 months elsewhere.
- NID (Google, google.com domain): a cookie that Google sets when you use its services, such as Google Search; if it is present in your browser, the Google Ads tag sends it to Google once you have accepted advertising; 6 months after its last use.
- _gcl_ls (Google, browser local storage): Google Ads tag data, kept until deleted.
- sbjs_current, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_migrations, sbjs_session and sbjs_udata (Carsalis, WooCommerce): where your visit came from (search engine, ad, social network, link); they last for the browsing session, or 30 minutes for sbjs_session.

4. Consent and Privacy
On your first visit, the “Your cookie choices” banner lets you accept all, reject all or choose by category. Refusing does not prevent you from using the site.
Wherever you are, Google Analytics and Google Ads set no cookies until you have accepted them: they only send Google cookieless signals (Google consent mode). Google Maps and WooCommerce visit-source tracking also wait for your consent.
Your choice is kept for 6 months in the carsalis_consent cookie; after that, the banner is shown to you again.
We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal data. We only collect the information needed to improve your experience on our site and to provide our services, and, depending on your cookie choices, the information used for audience measurement and advertising.
5. Managing Cookies and Privacy
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page. If you refuse a category, the matching cookies stored on carsalis.com are deleted; those that Google sets on its own domains can be deleted in your browser settings.
Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies. However, please note that blocking certain cookies may affect your experience on our site.
To find out more about how we process your personal data and about your rights, see section 8 below.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share information with trusted partners to provide and improve our services. Depending on your cookie choices, browsing data is also sent to Google for analytics, advertising and Google Maps (see section 3). To find out more, see section 8 below.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Check this page regularly to stay informed about the use of cookies and the protection of your data.
8. Data Controller and Your Rights
The controller of your personal data is CARSALIS LOCATION S.A.R.L, 4 Bis, Rue Moulay Driss, 80000 Agadir, Morocco.
You can ask at any time for access to your data, for it to be corrected or erased, and you can object to its processing. To exercise these rights, email us at info@carsalis.com.
